December 1 - We recommend that you use our paw print ornament kit to make a representation of your pets paw for your Christmas Tree, but this is not the only way to make one. You can trace around your dogs paw on a piece of card, decorate with paint or glitter, put a ribbon through and pop it on your tree. 

Step 5 - Use the straw to push a hole through the top of the decoration. This is for the ribbon to go through. ​

Step 9. Tie the ribbon and hang up!

You may think, “dude why are you selling this packet mix? You make treats, just sell treats”. Well, you wouldn’t be the first to think that, and the reason that we sell the Bake Your Own Carob Treat Mix isn’t because we are lazy and didn’t feel like making them, but because we want everyone to experience the joy of baking for your doggie.
 
Clive and Max are wonderful companions while in the kitchen and these days, wherever he is, Clive will come running at the sound of the oven timer going off (he knows it means food). I have no empirical evidence but given the sensitivity of dog noses, I think that they know when the treats are made by your hand, they have your sent. That sounds like I am a hopeless romantic…. Well, that’s probably a fair assessment.
 
So I do hope that you and your dog/s enjoy the experience of Baking Your Own Carob Treats.
 
What you need…
Bake Your Own Carob Treat Mix
¾ Cup of Water
Cookie Sheet lined with baking paper

Heat your oven to 180C (or 170C fan forced). Line your cookie sheet with baking paper (I used two).

Stir the water into the mix until mostly combined.

Turn mix out on a clean surface, and knead until a smooth ball is formed.
 
Roll out the dough until it is between 1/2cm to 1cm thick (thinner the dough = crunchier the biscuit). If the dough sticks, lightly flour your work surface with some extra flour from your pantry. One of the tricks to rolling out dough and making sure it doesn’t stick is to keep lifting it off the surface as you go.

Cut out your treats and place on the tray. They won’t spread or grow very much so they just need enough room between them to get the oven heat.

You can see the dough has been rolled very thin to make lots of crunchy treats. The crispier and drier the biscuits are the longer they keep. Moisture is not the friend of your treats.
